GETTING TO AND AROUND IBIZA
Getting to Ibiza is easy. There are direct flights from major European cities to Ibiza Airport (IBZ), and if you're coming from mainland Spain, ferries from Barcelona, Valencia, and Denia are a great option - especially if you want to bring a car.
Once you're there, renting a car or scooter is the best way to explore. Ibiza isn’t that big, but relying on buses will limit you to the main towns and popular beaches. If you want to discover hidden coves, drive through charming villages, or find those quiet coastal spots, you’ll need your own transportation.
You can rent a car at the airport or in town, but if you're visiting in summer, book ahead - rental cars go fast. Parking is usually fine outside Ibiza Town and San Antonio, so getting around won’t be a hassle.
IBIZA ITINERARY
No matter if you’ve got just a day or a few, this itinerary will help you experience the best of Ibiza - here’s how to make the most of your time on the island.
DAY 1
Morning: Wander through Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s UNESCO-listed old town. The narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, and insane views from the top are worth the climb. Don’t miss the Ibiza Cathedral.
Lunch: Head to La Bodega in Ibiza Town, a charming tapas spot with an authentic atmosphere. Their patatas bravas and seafood dishes are always a great choice.
Afternoon: Time to hit the beach - Playa d’en Bossa is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or even trying some watersports if you're up for it.
Evening: Enjoy the ultimate Ibiza evening at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, a true Ibiza classic, known for its high-energy sunset parties and world-class DJs. If you stay at the hotel, your entrance to the Ushuaïa club is included - just make sure to book in advance because rooms fill up fast.
DAY 2
Morning:Â Spend a lazy morning at Cala Comte, a beach that looks straight out of a postcard. The water here is unreal.
Lunch: Stop in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, a cute little village where you can try bullit de peix (a local fish stew). It’s comfort food at its best.
Afternoon: Take a drive towards Es Vedrà  and stop at Mirador Es Vedrà , the best viewpoint to admire this legendary island. It’s hard to put into words how special this place feels. You just have to experience it.
If you have extra time and love exploring, check out Atlantis (Sa Pedrera), a hidden cove near Es Vedrà with fascinating rock formations and natural pools. It’s a bit of a trek but well worth it.
For an even more breathtaking sunset, take a short detour to The Pirate Tower (Torre des Savinar). It’s a little hike, but the view is unforgettable.
Evening: Head to Marina Botafoch - think stylish waterfront restaurants, great seafood, and buzzing nightlife.
DAY 3
Morning: Head to Cala Salada, a small, quiet beach surrounded by cliffs - it’s a little slice of paradise.
Lunch:Â Either pack a picnic or grab something fresh at a local beach bar.
Afternoon: Take a slow drive through Santa Agnès de Corona, a peaceful little village surrounded by rolling hills and almond trees. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down.
Then, make your way to Las Dalias Hippy Market in San Carlos - this is where Ibiza’s bohemian spirit really comes alive. Shop for handmade crafts, vintage clothes, and one-of-a-kind souvenirs you won’t find anywhere else.
Evening: Head to San Antonio Sunset Strip, where iconic beachfront bars like Café Mambo and Café del Mar set the mood with chill-out beats and front-row sunset views over the Mediterranean.
DAY 4
Morning:Â Explore Cala Xuclar, a tiny hidden cove that feels like a secret escape.
Lunch: Grab some fresh seafood at a nearby chiringuito - simple, local, and always delicious.
Afternoon: Walk up to Portinatx Lighthouse and take in the sea breeze and endless views.
If you're up for it, explore the Portinatx to Moscarter Lighthouse coastal trail, a scenic route with rugged cliffs and panoramic sea views.
